A 60-year-old man known to have hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and non–insulin-dependent
diabetes and who was a previous smoker was admitted to our hospital with an acute
coronary syndrome (ACS). Previously he underwent coronary artery bypass surgery after
presenting with an ACS in 1992. Subsequently after presenting with a further ACS in
2007, he was treated with percutaneous coronary intervention and stenting to the distal
segment of the saphenous vein graft to the obtuse marginal (SVG-OM) with a 3.5 × 18
mm Driver bare-metal stent (Medtronic, Santa Rosa, CA).
