INCREASED EPICARDIAL ADIPOSE TISSUE (EAT) IS ASSOCIATED WITH HEART FAILURE WITH PRESERVED EJECTION FRACTION (HFPEF)

      EAT may be implicated in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease by modulating myocardial function through paracrine and endocrine effects. The goal of this study is to identify a link between EAT and markers of sub-clinical cardiac dysfunction such as global longitudinal strain (GLS) in patients without heart failure (HF) and then to evaluate the link with HF events.
