Takotsubo syndrome (TS) is a transient, reversible left ventricular dysfunction syndrome
that primarily affects post-menopausal women. TS has been associated with reduced
quality of life (QOL) and increased psychological distress for up to one year, even
following full recovery of left ventricular function. The aim of this study was to
determine the QOL and distress level in patients long after clinical recovery from
TS.
