Stroke is a major public health concern with significant healthcare costs and high
levels of morbidity and mortality. Increases in incidence are forecast alongside rising
levels of chronic disease and population ageing. Understanding experiences of stroke
and stroke survivorship can enable care providers, decision makers, and researchers
to better understand patient needs, concerns, and priorities as they strive to develop
sustainable, responsible, and responsive healthcare services.
