IMPORTANT FOOD SOURCES OF FRUCTOSE-CONTAINING SUGARS AND CARDIOVASCULAR OUTCOMES: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW AND META-ANALYSIS OF PROSPECTIVE COHORT STUDIES

      Sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) are associated with increased cardiovascular disease (CVD). Whether this association holds for other important food sources of sugars is unclear. To address this question, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies on the relationship of important food sources of fructose-containing sugars with CVD using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE).
