Interatrial Septal Aneurysm Mimicking an Atrial Myxoma on Multiparametric Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Published:December 10, 2020DOI:
Imaging hallmarks of an interatrial septal aneurysm (IASA) are > 15 mm lateral prolapsing motion and identical signal characteristics to blood pool. Herein we describe a case of IASA confirmed on surgical excision with imaging features in contrast to this, where it mimicked an atrial myxoma on cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging.
